Flooding in the Fox Valley and areas further south have caused authorities in multiple communities to close many state and county highways and local municipal roads.

In Oshkosh, officials closed the following streets late Thursday until further notice:

  • West Ninth Avenue from Westhaven Drive to Oakwood Road
  • North Westfield Street between Robin and Oshkosh avenues
  • North Main Street between Packer and Fernau avenues
  • South Oakwood Road from Newport Avenue to Ninth Avenue

Authorities encourage drivers to avoid these and other flooded areas. Residents who live on closed streets should not travel and should find other places to park.

Flooding was more extensive further sourth, where the following roads are closed, according to the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office:

  • State 44 at the Grand River, west of Markesan, with a detour via County U and I
  • County T at Suglarloaf Road, west of Green Lake
  • County B from State 44 to County H/KK, village of Kingston
  • County S from County A to County Q, east of Markesan
