Pro-Ag holds numerous press conferences
MIFFLINBURG, PA
Pro-Ag has held 10 press conferences lately in various parts of Pennsylvania and New York State.
According to Arden Tewksbury, manager of Pro-Ag, at every session the Federal Milk Marketing Improvement Act was explained to the dairy farmer and press that were present. The three most recent conferences were held at the Ray and Annette Kuzma Farm in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, the Dave and Robin Fitch Farm in West Winfield, New York and the LeRoy and Barbara Troester Farm in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. All three farms are members of Pro-Ag.
Pro-Ag is presently preparing to have further contact with the press and dairy farmers.
According to Tewksbury, the average dairy farmer is still receiving a price for his or her milk that is approximately 40% below the 2014 price.
Officials of Pro-Ag are still receiving calls and emails from various dairymen indicating they are on the verge of being forced out of business.
Dennis Boyanowski, President of Pro-Ag, is urging everyone to support our efforts to obtain fair prices for all dairy farmers.
