Ag committees asked to correct dairy pricing inequities

Arden Tewksbury, Manager (Pro-Ag), and spokesperson for the Dairy Farmers Freedom Committee sent the following letter to the Agriculture leaders of Congress on May 1.
Dear Leaders of our Ag Committees:
On behalf of the Progressive Agriculture Organization (Pro-AG), and the Dairy Farmers Freedom Committee, I am submitting to you the important letter that we have been circulating in various sections of the United States.
This letter clearly illustrates our sincere concern regarding the welfare of the dairy farmers all across the United States.
I have had several talks with top officials of the dairy division of the USDA regarding the dairy farmer crisis. On June 1, 2017, we submitted a petition to the USDA requesting the dairy division conduct milk hearings, giving all dairy farmers an opportunity to illustrate the severe financial conditions they are experiencing. So far their position is that they do not have the authority to conduct these hearings. (????!!!!!)
Therefore we are requesting that the two Ag Committees which the four of you are in charge of take immediate action to help correct the pricing inequities that the majority of dairy farmers are experiencing.
Also, there is much advice given to dairy farmers in an attempt to prevent more suicides by our dairy farmers. There is only one way to prevent suicides by dairy farmers, and this is simply is to give the dairy farmers a fair price for their milk. I’d be more than happy to discuss the dairy farmers’ prices with you. Please remember, time is of the essence.
