Barn total loss after fire

A barn in Eden is considered a total loss after it caught fire on Sunday night.

On Sunday, June 12, at 9 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office and the Eden Fire Department responded to a barn fully engulfed in flames at W534 County Highway B in the town of Osceola. The barn, owned by John and Tammy Burns, could not be salvaged.

The cause of the fire is not suspicious and is believed to be the result of wet hay. There were no injuries and no animals were inside the barn at the time of the fire.

Assisting at the scene were fire departments from St. Cloud, Campbellsport, Mount Calvary, Kewauskum, the town of Calumet, the town of Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Lamartine, Greenbush, Cascade, Lomira, Brownsville, Beechwood, St. Ann, Stockbridge and Mauthe Lake Ranger. The Campbellsport ambulance also responded.
