Workgroup to address manure report questions

Now that people have had a chance to read the Wisconsin Manure Irrigation Workgroup's 100-plus page report, titled 'Considerations for the Use of Manure Irrigation Practices,' workgroup members will hold a webinar on Monday, May 16 to address questions and comments about the report that have been submitted to the workgroup's website.

The report, which was released on April 14, was developed by a UW-Madison/UW-Extension-led group composed of scientists, public health specialists, state agency experts, farmers, conservationists and others. It is available on the Wisconsin Manure Irrigation Workgroup website at http://fyi.uwex.edu/manureirrigation/.

The May 16 webinar will run from 12 p.m. – 1:15 p.m., and will include a brief introduction, followed by responses to questions and comments. Although questions and comments will be accepted during the webinar, workgroup members prefer they be submitted via the manure irrigation workgroup website by Friday, May 13.

For those not able to attend during this time, a recording of the webinar will be uploaded to the workgroup website.
