Love antique tractors and equipment? Check out these events
ASHIPPUN - Vintage tractor and equipment lovers are invited to visit a variety of shows this coming summer.
One of the first shows to kick off the season was the annual Ixonia Vintage Tractor Expo which debuted its new home in Ashippun on May 26 and 27.
May shows like the Ixonia show feature an equipment brand and include tractor rides. Participants in the Ixonia show enjoyed the rural back roads winding through the Holy Hill area.
In addition to viewing collections of classic tractors and equipment, many shows include events for the family as well including kiddie pedal pulls, music, flea markets, crafts, demonstrations and more.
The show is the first antique power show of the season and organizer Curt Pernat says that is what makes it such a popular event.
“These guys are anxious to get out there and show their equipment so we started this show five years ago,” he says.
He is pleased that the new location provides plenty of room for all the displays and activities and amble parking.
Club members are active during the year as well, enjoying tractor rides that are fund raisers for local charities. They are already making plans for next year’s show which will feature National Case Collectors.
