Association of Women in Agriculture Alumni award 20 scholarships

MADISON - The Association of Women in Agriculture (AWA) awarded 20 scholarships totaling over $11,000 to active undergraduate AWA members on April 14.

Three $1,000 scholarships, provided in support by the Daughters of Demeter—Amber Dammen, Dairy Science and Life Sciences Communication, Argyle, Wis.; Ciera Ballmer, Dairy Science, Janesville, Wis.; and Emily Matzke, Animal Science and Life Sciences Communication, Sauk Prairie, Wis.

Awarded for the first time this year, the Grateful Badger scholarship was presented to Jessica Wendt, Agricultural Business Management, Stoughton, WI. This award will rotate each year between AWA and Alpha Gamma Rho-Iota (AGR). This scholarship
is made possible by AWA and AGR alumni, Krista Knigge and Corey Geiger.
