University of Wisconsin-Extension offers small ruminant meeting
With the uncertain times of low commodity prices the last several years, University of Wisconsin-Extension will provide some programming around sheep and goat farming, specifically as it relates to the economics of raising these animals. Two convenient locations are available for participants to attend.
A couple of national specialists will speak at the meeting — JJ Jones from Oklahoma State will be discussing meat goat economics and Jeff Held from South Dakota State University will be focusing on sheep nutrition. The meeting will be rounded out with an in-state speaker on animal evaluation basics.
Participants must pre register for either meeting by Monday, April 23.
