Heart of the Farm offers farm women networking
KIEL - UW-Extension provides women a day away from the farm to connect with other women who share the same experiences and challenges from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Millhome Supper Club near Kiel.
The Heart of the Farm Women in Agriculture workshop is a University of Wisconsin-Extension program committed to addressing the needs of farm women by providing education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources, and creating support networks.
Topics in the upcoming workshop include: “Analyzing My Farm’s Finances and Where Can I Go for Help,” “Be You! Building Your Personal and Farm Brand,” “Latinos in Dairy: What You Need to Know,” “Ahead of the Curve: A Look at Marketing Milk and Beyond,” and “It All Started on Kelly Road—Adding Value to the Dairy Farm.”
Completing the day will be a social featuring Kelley Country Creamery ice cream.
Contact UW-Extension Fond du Lac County by calling 920-929-3171 to register. The registration fee is $25 per person and includes meals, breaks and materials for the meeting. Farm employees, friends, and family members are invited to attend.
