Heart of the Farm - Women in Agriculture Conference

The Heart of the Farm – Women in Agriculture Conference series is a UW-Extension program that is committed to addressing the needs of farm women is set for Feb. 14.

The conference will be held at the Belvedere Supper Club, M329 St. Hwy 97, Marshfield, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm., and provides women education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources and creating support networks.

Topics presented at this conference include:

  • Developing Your Goals for Farm Succession during which participants will work through the process of formulating farm successions goals before vising an attorney.
  • Working with and Attorney on Farm Succession when attendees will hear an attorney’s perspective estate and succession planning needs.
  • Taking Care of You, during which participants will increase their knowledge of healthy strategies and skills to manage their stress levels.
  • Starting Your Own Business, learn tips from area farmwomen regarding what it takes to start a home-based business.

Registration deadline with payment is February 7, 2018. Registration of for the workshop is $25 per person (includes materials, lunch, snacks and chair massage) on or before February 7. Registration costs $35 per person after February 7. Registrations are non-refundable, except with prior authorization of the planning committee.
