2018 Wisconsin Honey Queen, Princess selected

Hannah Sjostrom of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin was selected as the 2018 Wisconsin Honey Queen.  Hannah is the daughter of Doug and Kim Sjostrom of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Honey Producers Association selected Hannah Sjostrom as the 2018 Wisconsin Honey Queen and Lexi Gagare as the 2018 Honey Princess. 

Sjostrom, of Maiden Rock, Hannah is the daughter of Doug and Kim Sjostrom. She is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire studying nursing.  In January 2019, Hannah will represent Wisconsin at the American Honey Queen competition at the American Beekeeping Federation Convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Gegare, of Milton, is the daughter of Debbie Gegare of Janesville, Wisconsin and Paul Gegare of Green Bay. She is a senior at the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse majoring in therapeutic recreation. 

Lexi Gegare of Milton, Wisconsin was selected as the 2018 Wisconsin Honey Princess.

Sjostrom and Gegare will spend 2018 promoting the beekeeping industry in Wisconsin.  They are available to speak with civic groups and appear at fairs, festivals, and farmers markets.  They will also give presentations in schools about honeybees and the beekeeping industry.
