Man dead following farming accident in Town of Cleveland

STRATFORD - One man is dead after an apparent farming accident Tuesday evening about 10 miles north of Marshfield. 

Stratford Fire and Rescue and Marathon County deputies responded to a report of a man passed out near a piece of farm machinery in a field in the Marathon County Town of Cleveland at 6:51 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department. 

Deputies found a man near a tractor and a piece of farm equipment. The man appeared to have become entangled in the power take-off unit of the tractor, according to the Sheriff's Department.

The Marathon County medical examiner pronounced the man dead at the scene. 

The Sheriff's Department did not release any further information on the victim as of Wednesday morning.
