Ag career day coming to Fox Valley Technical College

The Agriculture department at Fox Valley Technical College will host the fifth annual Agriculture Career Day on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at its Service Motor Company Agriculture Center on the college’s Appleton campus. Morning sessions run from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and afternoon offerings will be held from 12 – 2 p.m.

The free event is designed to engage high school students in hands-on exploratory activities related to careers in agronomy, dairy, agriculture power, horticulture, landscaping, outdoor power, and precision agriculture.

Students will have the option of attending morning or afternoon blocks of 45-minute classes. 

Students are encouraged to attend Career Day through their high school technical education or agriculture departments. Individual or ag-related organization registrations are also accepted.

Lunch is not provided but a variety of food service options is available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the college’s commons through its Culinary Arts program.
