REEDSBURG - The Wisconsin championship pedal tractor pulling contest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at the RACA Building at Nishan Park in Reedsburg.

Kindschi Pedal Pulls of Loganville are the host for this year’s event. Bill, Tara and Levi Kindschi do 50 - 60 local pulls every year.

Between 350 - 400 kids are expected to attend this championship pull.

At the championship pull, youth ages 4-12 years who have competed at local events throughout the state of Wisconsin and placed first, second or third in their class qualify to come to the championship pull.

Boys and girls compete separately within their age groups by pedaling the same tractor hooked to an “eliminator” down a track - it takes power and coordination to do well. The winner is whomever goes the furthest distance.

Every puller will receive a memento pin and goodie package, plus large trophies are given for first, second and third place.

The first, second, and third place winners from Wisconsin’s Championship Pull are then eligible to compete at the National Pedal Pull on Sept. 30 at the Corn Palace in South Dakota.
