Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board founder dies

Eugene F. 'Gene' Runde, a founding member of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has passed away at the age of 81.
The Cuba City resident died Feb. 8 at UW-Hospitals & Clinics in Madison, according to his obituary.
Following graduation from high school, Runde served in the US Navy aboard the battleship USS Wisconsin.
Runde and his wife, Shirley, farmed their entire married life. He was a founding members of the WMMB and served as the check-off program's president during the 1980s.
Runde also served on the Southwestern Community School Board and was a member of the NFO.
