Livestock killed in Dodge County barn fire

Fire has destroyed a barn and killed livestock on a dairy farm in southeastern Wisconsin. The fire was reported about 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at Twardorkus Family Farms in Dodge County.

Firefighters arrive to find the barn engulfed in flames. No one was hurt. But Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports authorities say 10 livestock died from smoke inhalation.

The Iron Ridge Fire Department was assisted by 10 other surrounding fire departments, two emergency medical units and the sheriff's office. Firefighters were still on the scene as of early Sunday.
