Organic vegetable production workshop offered
University of Wisconsin-Extension is hosting the 2016 Organic Vegetable Production Winter Workshop from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at the Hungry Turtle Institute, 110 N. Keller Avenue, Amery, WI.
Step in from the cold and learn more about insect, disease and crop management practices that can aid in the success of your organic vegetable production operation and take home some great ideas of how you might 'grow' your farm business in 2016.
Presenters include organic farmers Mike Racette of Spring Hill Community Farm, David Van Eeckhout or Hog's Back Farm, Rama Hoffpauir, Ken Cleveland, UW-Extension Agricultural Agent in Adams County and University of Wisconsin–Extension State Specialists Erin Silva and Russell Groves.
Registration fee for this workshop is $20 and includes the full day workshop, lunch, snacks during the day and workshop materials. Please preregister by January 15 as classroom space is limited.
