Culver’s honored with Wisconsin Agricultural Education award
Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators recognizes restaurant at 2017 convention.
PRAIRIE DU SAC - In 2017 alone, Culver’s Wisconsin restaurants have raised over $16,000 in donations for local FFA chapters and agricultural organizations on their Scoops of Thanks Day fundraiser and donated over 50 FFA blue jackets to deserving students.
At the 2017 Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators Conference in Appleton, Culver’s was recognized for its support of agricultural education through Thank You Farmers with the Outstanding Cooperation Award.
“While Culver’s is proud to support agricultural education across the country, we’re especially proud to be recognized for our efforts in our home state,” said Jessie Corning, senior marketing manager at Culver’s. “This award is shared with all of our restaurants and guests across Wisconsin who have joined together to emotionally and financially support Wisconsin FFA members over the years.”
Culver’s support of agricultural education is part of its Thank You Farmers initiative. In addition to its Scoops of Thanks Day fundraiser and blue jacket donation, Culver’s has also sponsored Wisconsin FFA events, held fundraisers for local FFA chapters and agricultural organizations and has been involved in the state FFA convention.
“The Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators is proud to call Culver’s a homegrown supporter of agricultural education,” said Kevin Hoffman, former president of WAAE. “It is because of the shared spirit of service that this company has continuously practiced that we award Culver’s the 2017 Outstanding Cooperation Award.”
To date, Culver’s and its guests have raised over $1 million in support of the National FFA Organization and Foundation, local FFA chapters and a variety of local agricultural organizations.
