UW Collegiate Farm Bureau elects 2017-18 officer team
MADISON - Collegiate Farm Bureau at University of Wisconsin-Madison elected new officers for the upcoming school year at its annual banquet on May 2nd at the University Club on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. The outgoing officer team celebrated the organization’s accomplishments from the previous year.
Connor Willems of Reedsville, was elected President. Willems will be a senior in the fall, studying Dairy Science. This summer Willems will be working for Cargill Animal Nutrition as a Dairy Focus Intern. During the internship, he will live in Wisconsin and Michigan while visiting dairies in those states and may also visit some in Indiana and Ohio.
Serving as vice president will be Sara Griswold of Cross Plains, WI. Griswold is a senior studying Life Sciences Communication and will be a Marketing Communications Intern for CNH Industrial in Racine. She will work with the diverse officer team to plan events for members and promote agriculture on campus.
Collegiate Farm Bureau’s next secretary is Emily Matzke from Prairie du Sac. Matzke is a sophomore studying Animal Science and Life Sciences Communication with a certificate in Agricultural Business Management. Matzke will be working for the AgrAbility program this summer as a Program Assistant. She is looking forward to connecting members, whether they have been involved for three years or just joined and sharing with them all the exciting events.
Serving as treasurer will be Micheala Slind from Baldwin. Slind is a senior studying Dairy Science with a certificate in Agricultural Business Management. This summer she will be working at Cargill as Dairy Nutrition Consultant Intern.
The two directors-at-large are, Jessica Wendt, from Stoughton, a junior majoring in Agricultural Business Management. She is the Agriculture in the Classroom director-at-large.
