United Cooperative, Land O’Lakes Foundation to fund 35 food pantries

Thirty-five area food pantries received a much-needed boost this holiday season as $38,000 was donated by United Cooperative and Land O’Lakes Foundation to provide food resources to rural communities.

“As a farmer-owned cooperative, we’re involved intimately in the development of crops and livestock used in the food system,” said David Cramer, United Cooperative president and CEO. “We know the importance of food for strong families, strong schools and a strong economy. We’re hopeful these donations help communities provide food to people who need emergency resources to feed their families.”

The 35 Wisconsin food pantries, listed below, received a share in more than $38,000 dollars provided by United Cooperative and Land O'Lakes Foundation to help fill their shelves with food this winter season. “With these contributions, we can do a small part to aid hunger needs in our communities,” Cramer said.
