Michael Fields hosts Reading in the Garden
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute is hosting their fourth annual Reading in the Garden, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 26.
This summer's featured Wisconsin Author is Marnie Mamminga, 'Return to Wake Robin: One Cabin in the Heyday of Northwoods Resorts.' In it, Mamminga captures the spirit and cultural heritage of her family's cabin, called Wake Robin, on Big Spider Lake near Hayward in Wisconsin's Northwoods.
Her descriptions of everything from the call of the weekly square dance to the splash announcing a perfectly executed cannonball are sure to resonate with anyone who has ever spent a summer up north —or anyone who wishes they had.
Come and enjoy a talk by Mamminga, organic appetizers and wine, and a tour of the gardens. Reserve your seats at www.michaelfields.org, or contact Molly at mroamer@michaelfields.org or 262-642-3303, ext 124.
