Fresh, cheese curds will take center stage during the inaugural Wisconsin State Fair World Cheese Curd Eating Championship on Aug. 11, 2018.

WEST ALLIS - It's state fair time and along with highly-anticipated traditions, fair-goers can enjoy new attractions and competitions at the 2018 Wisconsin State Fair, which runs Aug. 3 - 13.

Cheese Curd Eating Championship

Wisconsin State Fair is proud to partner with Major League Eating to bring cheese enthusiasts the event of the summer: the first-ever Wisconsin State Fair World Cheese Curd Eating Championship. 

The competition takes place Saturday, Aug. 11 at noon at the Associated Bank Amphitheater and will feature competitive eating notable, Joey Chestnut. Fairgoers and curd nerds alike will rejoice in this squeaky goodness.  

Cow-Temporary Art Walk

Take part in the moooo-ving Fair art scene! Meander across the Fair Park as you explore bovine- and Fair-inspired artwork with the new Cow-Temporary Art Walk.

Complete the multiple-stop Cow-Temporary Art Walk and take home a prize! Pick up your punch card and prize in the lobby of the Exposition Center at the Young People’s Art Exhibit. 

Daily parade new route and time

Check out this Fair tradition that kicks off at its new time – 2 p.m. daily. See the Fairest of the Fairs, your favorite street entertainers, mascots, tractors, dance teams, marching bands, South Shore Drill Team and much more.

Junior Amateur Talent Competition new location

Don’t miss the fifth annual Junior Amateur Talent Competition on Sunday, Aug. 12 at noon at its new location — the Associated Bank Amphitheater. Participants from throughout the state need to pre-qualify to compete at State Fair in either the Youth or Teen division. With a grand total of $14,500 in prize money, this event can’t be missed!

Lambeau Field live

The Green Bay Packers are celebrating 100 seasons and bringing Lambeau Field on a road trip. Fairgoers will enjoy Play 60 activities, alumni meet-and-greets, a satellite Packers Pro Shop and Packers Hall of Fame, a Lambeau Leap wall, a virtual reality display and Associated Bank’s Interact With The Pack Experience. Win prizes by registering for Packers Pass.

Located on the west side of the Fair Park near the Racing Animals Arena. 

The 2018 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular, will take place at State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis. Thursday, Aug. 2 – Sunday, Aug. 12.
