OCONOMOWOC - A horse-drawn carriage collided with multiple vehicles in the downtown area of Oconomowoc, in Waukesha County, around 11:10 a.m., Dec. 9. 

Callers reported a horse drawn carriage was loose in the downtown area of Oconomowoc. The carriage had a total of eight occupants on board in the rear passenger compartment.

The horses and carriage collided with two vehicles at the intersection of S. Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

The Western Lakes Fire District responded to find the horses and carriage still on one of the vehicle with handlers tending to the horses.

A total of 15 patients were assessed for injuries. Each of the vehicles had three occupants, the carriage was carrying eight people and one of the horse handlers were assessed.

No serious injuries occurred as a result of the incident.

The incident remains under investigation by the City of Oconomowoc Police Department.
