2017 Pest Management Update Meeting deadline approaching

UW-Extension’s Pest Management Update (PMU) Meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday Nov. 9, with lunch to follow,  at the UW Fond du Lac campus in room UC-113.  The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration.

The host agent for the meeting in Fond du Lac is Dr. Loretta Ortiz-Ribbing.

The format will include presentations by Drs. Bryan Jensen with UW-Madison Entomology, Dan Heider with the UW Integrated Pest and Crop Management Program, Damon Smith with UW-Madison Plant Pathology, and weed scientist, and Mark Renz with UW-Madison Agronomy. 
The first two hours will emphasize research updates and important highlights from the 2017 field season. The last hour will consist of an interactive diagnostic troubleshooting exercise based on issues observed in the 2017 field season.

A packet of information will be supplied to all registered participants. The packet will include handouts and also a copy of the 2018 Pest Management in Wisconsin Field crops (A3646) guide. 

Three hours of CCA CEU pest management credits are available.

Registration fees apply and will include access to the packets, lunch, and three hours of CEU credit.
