Get ready to ride in the Ripon tractor cruise

Wisconsin State Farmer
The East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise will hold its annual tractor cruise fundraiser on Aug. 26.

RIPON - The ninth annual East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise will be held Saturday, Aug. 26 with registration from 8 - 9 a.m., and tractors departing at 9 a.m. from the Jon Heatley farm on Dartford Rd, Ripon.

Tractors travel along one of three routes ranging from 58 - 20 miles, stopping for lunch and returning to the farm late in the afternoon.

The goal of the tractor cruise is to fundraise for local food pantries. The cruise also benefits public schools student basic needs funds, which provide necessities for children whose families cannot otherwise afford them.

Funds come from the entry fee, along with collected pledges and business sponsorships.

The registration form and pledge sheet can be found at

Tractors will be on display at the farm while participants and spectators enjoy a chicken barbecue, hosted by the Ripon FFA Alumni.

To date, more than $119,000 has been raised and donated to food pantries and public school basic needs.
