Ag Charter school hosts Community Night and fundraiser

FOX LAKE - Come together as a community at the School for Agricultural & Environmental Studies (SAGES) Community Night and Jim Heuer Chili Fundraiser on March 16. This special event will showcase K-8 student/class project displays and interactive learning stations, plus celebrate the "community" surrounding SAGES.
Beyond guided school tours and student project displays, visitors can explore the Wisconsin Spudmobile – the potato industry’s most comprehensive educational and informational resource center, on wheels – which will be making a special stop at SAGES that night. Plus, there will be local businesses with displays set-up in the gym, a visit from SAGES’ “school” calf Nellie, and of course, chili available to purchase!
There is no charge to attend the SAGES’ Community Night. For the Jim Heuer Chili Fundraiser, prices vary. Chili served in a commemorative SAGES’ mug: $10; Commemorative SAGES’ mug without chili: $8; chili without mug: $3. Proceeds from the Chili Fundraiser will support ongoing and potential projects at SAGES, such as their “Living Schoolyard.”
Hosted at SAGES Charter School on 200 South Depot St., Fox Lake, this community gathering runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 16 and is open to everyone – community members, families with children currently at SAGES or those considering sending a child to SAGES, current or prospective volunteers and learning partners, local agriculturists and environmentalists, or anyone with an interest in learning more about the school or how they can support SAGES..
