Dairy promotion offers recipe contest
Juneau - The Dodge County Dairy Promotion Committee is sponsoring a Dodge Does Dairy Recipe Contest on Saturday, April 8 at the Administration Building in Juneau. The categories are Appetizers and Bars. Three placings will be awarded in each category.
The awards are:
1st Place -a Crockpot, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Gift Pack, and a $100 gift certificate to Piggly Wiggly; 2nd: Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Gift Pack, and a $50 gift certificate to Piggly Wiggly; 3rd Place - a $25 gift certificate to Piggly Wiggly.
Contestants will bring their fully prepared recipe to the Administration Building on April 8 to be judged by a panel of three judges. Registration and set-up is at 9:45 a..m until 10:45 a.m., with judging to start at 11 a.m. Spectators are welcome to come and taste the entries.
Those interested must be a resident of Dodge or surrounding counties. They may only enter in one category and only one recipe per person. All recipes must include at least two dairy products and the products must be listed in the recipe.
There is a $10 entry fee and the recipe must be included with their entry form or they will not be permitted to enter. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, March 24. No late entries or walk-ins will be accepted.

The Dodge County Dairy Promotion Committee is a nonprofit organization that educates the public about the nutritional value of dairy products and to give the community facts about dairy farming and related dairy industries. The goal of these programs has been to increase sales of dairy products and to enhance the image of area farmers and related dairy industries.
