Grazing conference set for Feb. 2-4
Wisconsin Dells — GrassWorks Grazing Conference will mark its 25 year milestone of learning, networking, good local food, and fellowship.
Set for Feb. 2 – 4 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, this special 25th anniversary event will feature an outstanding line up of more than 40 speakers presenting topics ranging from silvo-pasture, to grass-based dairy management, to the connection between the soil, plant and animal. Long-time grazing favorite Jim Gerrish will return to give multiple workshops as well as other keynote speakers Tom Franzen and Joyce Turk.
This year's conference will feature its first annual Handy Hints Contest, patterned after the Handy Hints column in Hoard’s Dairyman Magazine. Everyone has a great do-it-yourself invention that makes your day’s work on the farm a little easier. Share yours at this years’ GrassWorks Conference and win a prize.
Submissions will be posted and voted on during the conference and the winners will be announced at the “Handy Hints” session on Saturday, Feb. 4. Cash awards of $100, $50, and $25 donated by Hoards Dairyman and Hay and Forage Growers magazine will be presented to the top three ideas. To submit a handy hint, send a short description and a photo along with contact information to Laura Paine (email@example.com) or bring it along to the conference.
Earlybird registration ends Jan.12. Conference registration includes workshops, general sessions and admission to the exhibit hall, as well as dinners, lunches, snacks and evening entertainment.
