WPA scholarship applications due Dec. 1
Lancaster — The Wisconsin Pork Association is once again offering scholarships to high school seniors and college students. High school seniors pursuing post high school education in an agriculture related field are encouraged to apply for the WPA scholarship. Juniors or Seniors at UW-Madison, Platteville and River Falls are eligible to apply for the Whitmore Memorial Scholarship.

WPA is also seeking nominations from producers, county groups, or industry members for individuals to be considered for the Gunderson Memorial Scholarship. More details and application forms are available on the WPA website at www.wppa.org/scholarships.
The application deadline for the scholarships is Dec. 1.
Now through December 1, the Wisconsin Pork Association is also accepting applications for its Pork Mentorship Program. College students with a passion for agriculture and an interest in the swine industry are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in the pork industry is not required.
The Wisconsin Pork Mentorship Program is designed as a year-long program beginning at the Association’s Annual Meeting in February. During the course of the year, selected participants will expand their knowledge of the swine industry through hands-on experiences and job shadows, involvement in pork industry programs, and partaking in Wisconsin Pork Association activities.
Additional details and the application form are available at www.wppa.org/mentorship-program.
