Application period open for National FFA Scholarships

Applications are now being accepted for the National FFA Organization’s 2016-2017 John Deere Scholarship Program sponsored by Riesterer & Schnell.

The window for accepting applications for the 2017 National FFA Scholarship Program opens Nov. 15, 2016 and closes Feb. 1, 2017.

Last year, the National FFA awarded more than $2.7 million in scholarships to 2,158 students. More than $1 million of that total went to dealer scholarships.

Riesterer & Schnell has supported FFA for decades through donations to events, county market animal sales, FFA banquets, work auctions and FFA alumni events.

“Agriculture is an ever-changing industry, and Riesterer & Schnell recognizes that the individuals who will shape its future are the youth currently involved in FFA and agriculture,” said Waldo Riesterer, General Manager of Riesterer & Schnell in a press release. “We are proud to support the FFA so that it may continue to develop bright minds and dedicated future professionals.”
