Fall Harvest Fest Floral Show, Mitchell Park Domes, Milwaukee. Bring in the autumn harvest of fall flowers at the Domes, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and major holidays; $3 per person. Free for children age 5 and under.

Oct. 15

Fall Garden Seminar. 8 a.m. - noon. Fall gardening seminar featuring guest speakers and more. UW Marshfield. 2000 Fifth St., Marshfield.

Seed Collection Workshop, 9 a.m. to noon, UW Fond du Lac. Meet at the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Shelter for workshop, with discussion on seeds, including when and how to collect your favorite native plants. Walk through the prairie and learn how to identify wildflowers and grasses in the seed stage. Collect and clean the seed heads, learn how to store, and propagate the seed.

Oct. 18

Fall Gardening Tasks, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Rotary Botanical Garden, Janesville. Director of Horticulture Mark Dwyer will discuss late season planting, mulching, composting, deer protection, $3 members; $5 nonmembers. 608-754-1779, rotarybotanicalgardens.org.

Halloween Hike, 7 to 9 p.m., Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum Shelter, UW-Fond du Lac. This luminary Halloween hike will introduce five friendly characters talking about how they help the environment.
