San Angelo trampoline park opening delayed again
SAN ANGELO — If you were hoping to start jumping at San Angelo's long-awaited trampoline park in early 2019, you will have to wait.
However, the wait shouldn't be much longer, as owner Buddy Caubble said he hopes to open in fall 2019. Ultimate Air Trampoline Park will be behind Lowe's near the Loop 306 Frontage Road.
"We had some delays internally, getting our plans developed and getting everything to the city for approval," Caubble said. "We are still waiting for the city's approval, but we expect to get it any day now."
Caubble said he doesn't want to announce an opening date until the building is on the lot.
"We hope to open around the time school starts back up next fall," Caubble said.
San Angelo had disappeared from Ultimate Air's website, but Caubble said it's not a sign of the company scrapping the project.
Caubble said he plans to hire 50 to 60 employees. Most of the positions will be part time.
Applications will be posted and a job fair will be scheduled once the park is about six weeks away from opening.
Ultimate Air has parks in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Hawaii.
