The granddaddy of regional farm shows, the Eau Claire Farm Show, will take on a new look for its 53rd year of providing Wisconsin farmers with an expanded display of new equipment and ag products.

This year's show will be held at the Menards Conference Center on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8-9. Show hours are 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily with free admission.

The farm show will offer health clinics by St. Joseph/Sacred Heart hospitals, a silent auction to benefit the FFA, and daily shows by Wildlife Educator Martha Herbert of Creature Encounters. Her live raptor shows are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. both days.

The Eau Claire Farm Show brings together some 200 representatives of farm manufacturers and distributors that are committed to farming success.

The history of the farm show dates back to 1963 when Northern States Power Company conducted an Electric Power Show at the Northern Wisconsin Fairgrounds. Upon completion of London Square Mall, the farm show moved to Eau Claire as an annual spring event.

The Eau Claire Farm Show is the 2nd longest running regional farm show in Wisconsin. The show is one of four shows coordinated by North Country Enterprises of Wisconsin.
