Old World Wisconsin offers limited edition ice cream flavor

Wisconsin State Farmer

EAGLE – Just in time for summer, and in celebration of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s 150th birthday this year, Old World Wisconsin has partnered with Sassy Cow Creamery on a special flavor of ice cream.

This limited edition ice cream flavor is called “Honey Bear-y” and was created to celebrate the Laura Ingalls Wilder’s stories of “The Big Woods of Wisconsin.”

This new flavor is made with Wisconsin honey along with blueberry and raspberries.  It's a light fruity ice cream with a slight background of honey. It will be available exclusively at Old World Wisconsin for the 2017 season.
“We are always looking for ways to inspire our guests, spark creativity, and have fun,” said Dan Freas, site director at Old World Wisconsin.  “We are excited to introduce a new ice cream flavor that has a connection to the history of Wisconsin through Laura Ingalls Wilder.”
The new flavor is currently available in two sizes: regular or large, cone or cup, and can be found at the Old World Wisconsin Clausing Barn Café. Sassy Cow will also be partnering with Old World Wisconsin at the Churn Up Your Dairy Pride event on June 19 in Madison.
All Wisconsin Historical Society members receive free admission to Old World Wisconsin.  Adult admission (18-64) is $19, children (5-17) $10, senior citizens (65 and over) $16, and children 4 and under free.

Fees include an all-day tram transportation pass.  Parking is free.
