Amazon's first toy catalog is out. Watch your mailbox
Filling the void of Toys R Us, digital retailer Amazon is mailing out a toy catalog for the first time.
Sure, you can check the website; in fact, you'll have to. The catalog doesn't feature prices because, as everyone knows, prices change minute by minute at the online sales giant.
But along with the Walmart, Target and Kohl's toy catalogs, your children will have something from which to circle toys and games they most want from Santa.
Some of the toys featured in "A Holiday of Play" catalog mailed to millions of customers this month come with the QR code. This allows readers to instantly scan and bring up links to products. Readers also can scan the pictures using their Amazon app to get more information about the toy and add it to their shopping cart.
The catalog's cover has a retro feel, but it's packed with all sorts of hot "it" toys you would expect, including Fingerlings, Marvel action figures, STEM toys, Disney Princesses and all the Barbies you could want.

Amazon REALLY wants your business this holiday, as it has waived its usual $25 shopping minimum for free shipping.
There’s only one company that does Christmas better than Santa Claus, that’s Amazon. Buzz60's Maria Mercedes Galuppo has more.
Not the only first in toy catalogs
Disney Stores also issued its first-ever toy catalog this year.
The “2018 Holiday Toy Book” features Disney Princesses, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars toys. The catalog also comes with special Disney stickers to make it easy to mark kids' favorites. Find the catalog in Disney stores.
