Decadent Chocolate Glazed Butter Cookies

Cherry-infused dried cranberries provide a pleasant punch of fruit flavor to this soft butter cookie topped with chocolate.

Decadent Chocolate Glazed Butter Cookies 

Servings: About 9 dozen cookies 

  • 2 cups butter, softened 
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract 
  • 1 cup cornstarch 
  • 3 cups flour 
  • ½ cup cherry infused dried cranberries, chopped 
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, melted 

Make the cookies: Heat oven to 325 F. 

In large bowl, cream butter, cranberries, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and almond extract, mix well. 

In separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and flour, gradually beating into creamed mixture. 

Drop teaspoonfuls of dough 1 inch apart on greased parchment paper lined baking sheet. Flatten slightly with fork tines.  

Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. 

Cool on wire rack. 

Finishing touch: Glaze with melted chocolate chips.
