Oscar Mayer made hot dog ice cream, because apparently you can't eat French's mustard ice cream plain
The world has been blessed this week not only with mustard flavored ice cream, but now also with hot dog infused ice cream thanks to Oscar Mayer.
On Wednesday, French's Mustard announced it would sell scoops of mustard ice cream on Aug. 3, which is National Mustard Day.
French's tried to say mustard wasn't just for hot dogs and burgers anymore, but Oscar Mayer said "not so fast."
Oscar Mayer dropped a hot dog ice cream "because who eats just mustard?"
The same people who eat hot dog ice cream, probably.
The "Ice Dog Sandwich" is a hot dog infused ice cream with real bits of candied Oscar Mayer hot dogs served alongside spicy mustard ice cream.
The ice cream will be served together between buns – I mean, cookies.
The ice cream sandwich is made in honor of National Ice Cream Sandwich day on Aug. 2.
It was made in partnership with il laboratorio del gelato, based in New York City.
Fans will be able to to get samples of the Ice Dog Sandwich from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile beginning Aug. 12 in New York.
Oscar Mayer had its headquarters in Madison until 2017.
