Information on how to address present and prevent future investations of invasive species will be offered during a free, public informational session at 6:30 p.m. April 19, at the Eau Claire County UW-Extension Office, 227 First St., Altoona, WI.

Kathy Stahl, chairperson for The Prairie Enthusiasts and the Lower Chippewa Invasive partnership, will be speak on invasive species entering the Chippewa Valley. Not only will she tell about the invasives already seen here, but also about the new ones threatening to enter the area.

As Master Gardener Volunteers, we need to be able to identify them, know how to destroy them, and how to prevent more infestations from occurring.

Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. Come and bring a friend along to enjoy the presentation.
