COLUMBUS – The annual gathering of mid-west horses, carriages, drivers, and spectators will return to Father’s Day weekend on June 17th and 18th at Fireman’s Park in downtown Columbus, WI.
This annual free event is a spectacular display of disciplined horses of many breeds and sizes, as well as fancy carriages, and well-groomed drivers. Again this year on Sunday will be the Father’s Day class in which the driver, passenger, or horse is a father. The ever-popular Carriage Dog Class is planned for Saturday, June 17, as is the Concours d’Elegance, where the most elegant turnout of the show is selected.
Come enjoy the variety of turnouts from miniature to draft horses, put to elegant antique carriages as well as modern day vehicles. Olivet Church and the Columbus Legion will offer delicious lunch and treat options. Classes start at 8:00am both days and run until about 4pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday, June 18.
