A dedication to quality assisted in winning ribbons for Saxon Creamery’s artisan cheeses at the American Cheese Society contest this summer. This was one of the largest shows in ACS history with 109 categories of cheese, 260 cheese companies competing and 1843 entries submitted.
Saxon Creamery received the following ribbons:
- The first place winners: Saxony Alpine Gruyere (Class DC) and Asiago Fresca (Class HD)
- The second place winners: Snowfields Butterkase w/chilies and mushrooms (Class KC) – this is a limited quantity and pre-order item
- The third place winners were: Snowfields Butterkase (Class DC) and Saxony Alpine Gruyere, young (Class DC)
The class DC OPEN Category American Made/International Style made with Cows Milk was one of the largest classes. Saxon Creamery had 6 entries in this class, winning one 1st and two 3rd place awards.
