FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative's fourth annual meeting is slated Feb. 12-13 at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center in Onalaska. This year's annual meeting theme is 'We are FarmFirst,' celebrating the successful beginnings of the cooperative since its merger while showcasing the dynamic organization and people the cooperative represents and proudly works with.
All dairy farmers are welcome to participate in the Producer Discovery Workshops taking place on Friday afternoon.
At 1 p.m., Michelle Birschbach from Steimle Birschbach law office will discuss the '10 common perils that could adversely affect your farm and its transition.'
At 2:30 p.m., John Newton from the National Milk Producers Federation will share insight regarding the current status of 'Dairy Policy, Price and a Bit of Economics.' Dairy farmers interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP to Julie by calling 608-244-4250 ext. 309.
Top sponsors of the cooperative's annual meeting will also be present at the meeting's tradeshow, taking place on Friday afternoon. Members and guest dairy producers will have the opportunity to meet with these meeting sponsors and ask questions on their products and services.
The annual silent auction will also be on display and available for bids following the workshops. All funds raised through the silent auction go towards funding youth education opportunities, such as scholarships and dairy camp registrations.
