NEW LONDON

CHS Larsen Cooperative is all "Pumped up" for this year's CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign.

Each year Country Operations, CHS Larsen Cooperative, and CHS Inc. team up to collect food, monetary and grain donations to help keep local food pantry shelves stocked.

Since 2011, over $2.1 million and 2.3 million pounds of food have been donated to food banks across the U.S. and went to hungry families across the nation. More than 50 CHS business units and more than 4,000 employees have participated in the Harvest for Hunger drive.

Locally, in 2015, CHS Larsen Cooperative raised $12,959 and over 1,650 pounds of food which stayed in the communities in which we reside.

CHS Larsen Cooperative is proud to participate again in the 2016 Harvest for Hunger campaign running March 1-20, 2016. From 10 a.m .to 5 p.m. Friday, CHS Larsen Coop employees will be at CHS gas stations at Wild Rose C-store, Larsen Location, and New London Travel Plaza, providing full service at the pumps and serving lunch.

Employees will collect tips for pumping gas, washing windshields, as well as serving a full meal for $5. A bake sale is also slated.

As well as having a fundraiser, CHS will be collecting donations at all facility locations March 1-20. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted.

For those who would like to donate items but are unable to drop them off at one of CHS locations, contact Cathie Hansen at 920-982-1111 and she will send someone out to pick up the donation. Monetary donations may be sent by check to: CHS Larsen Cooperative Attn: Harvest for Hunger P.O. Box 308 New London WI, 54961.

One hundred percent of all proceeds stay local in surrounding area food pantries. In addition, CHS Country Operations will also be matching all local donations.
