Wisconsin Livestock Show Camp deadline approaching

May 10, 2012 | 0 comments

Junior livestock exhibitors and their families interested in gaining knowledge of the livestock industry should consider adding the 14th Wisconsin Junior Livestock Show Camp to their calendar of summer events.

Participants will also have the opportunity to expand their project management skills and learn new fitting and showing techniques,

This year's camp is scheduled for June 16-17 and will be held at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

The camp is sponsored by the Wisconsin Livestock Breeders Association (WLBA) and the Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation.

This year's presenters will be Mark & Amy Johnson, Sandwich, IL for sheep, Scott, Ty & Calli Bayer, Ringle, for beef, and Greg Krahn, West Bend, Corey Carpenter, Red Bluff, CA, and Tonya Fender, Lynchburg, OH, all directors on the National Junior Swine Association Board for swine.

Family friendly reduced rates are available for all in and out-of-state campers.

Registration deadline is May 15.

Late registrations are accepted, but those interested should email for availability.

Additional camp information and the registration application can be found on the WLBA website at www.wisconsinlivestockbreeders.com or by contacting Executive Director Jill Alf at 608-868-2505 or alfhamp@centurytel.net.
