Registrations for the 2013 Wisconsin FFA Alumni Convention are due to the convention treasurer, Rae Nell Halbur, by Jan. 18.
After that date, prices will increase for the annual meeting planned at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac, Feb. 8-9.
Convention chair Janet Schneider of the Campbellsport FFA Alumni noted, "We made an effort to keep the cost for the meals and registration down, and if members want to benefit from that effort, you need to get those in immediately."
Registration forms can be downloaded from
www.wisconsinffaalumni.org under "state convention."
The theme for this year's convention is Renew the Mission-Advocates for Agriculture Education, and it's being hosted by Wisconsin FFA sections 6 and 10.
Auctions are held both evenings with all proceeds going to many statewide FFA programs.
The annual meeting is the largest fundraiser the Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association holds the entire year.
"There is something for everyone when it comes to auction item variety," reports Schneider.
Early auction entries include a print donated by Larry Schultz; four units of hybrid alfalfa seed donated by Dairyland Seed, four Brewers club tickets donated Manitou Americas, Inc., and much more.
Platinum sponsors for this year's convention include Waupun Equipment Co., Inc.; Lomira FFA Alumni; Campbellsport FFA Alumni; Waupun Area FFA Alumni; Kewaskum FFA Alumni; Modern Woodmen-Jeff Jaeger; Kettle Lakes Co-op, Random Lake; Dairyland Seed; and Baker Cheese. Alliant Energy is a diamond sponsor.
