Vermont police investigate

theft of bull calf

March 7, 2013 | 0 comments

Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of a 300-pound bull calf from a farm in Brighton.

Police say there have been a number of cattle thefts in the region and investigators have a number of suspects.

In the most recent case, the calf was stolen from the farm of Douglas and Marilyn Maxwell on Route 114 between Tuesday and Thursday of last week.

A vehicle was seen in the area around midnight last Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone who might have bought a red and white Hereford calf or has information about the case to call the state police.
