Take a Wis-cation

this summer to a fair

June 7, 2012 | 0 comments

Take a Wis-cation this summer to one of the state's local, county, district or state fairs.

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has released the 2012 Wisconsin Fairs Entertainment Schedule.

The schedule lists an assortment of entertainment at a low cost. Many fairs host free family entertainment with admission including jugglers and magicians. Some fairs have free music stages with local entertainers and big stage acts with national stars.

Wisconsin fairs run this summer from June through September.

More than 3 million people attended 76 fairs in Wisconsin during 2011.

The schedule is online at http://datcp.wi.gov/uploads/Programs/pdf/FairEntertainment.pdf and is also available at Travel Information Centers across the state. The information is compiled by DATCP and the Wisconsin Association of Fairs.
