Rice Lake Farm Show, Jan. 21

RICE LAKE

The Cedar Mall, Rice Lake, will be the scene of the 23rd Annual Rice Lake Farm Show, Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 21-22.

Daily show hours are 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. More than 70 company representatives will be present to display and demonstrate their new farm equipment and products.

A special feature of the farm show includes a presentation by Chris Cold of Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources at 1 p.m. daily. The licensed falconer will speak on wildlife management issues. His program will include two or more "live" raptors or reptiles.

Other events include free health clinics offered by Lakeview Medical Center and Mayo Clinic. Lakeview will provide free flu shots between 10 a.m.-1 p.m. daily plus lung function testing Tuesday afternoon and nutrition education Wednesday afternoon.

Mayo Clinic will do free blood sugar screenings from 10 a.m.-noon daily plus diabetes prevention information. And, a historic display by the Hungry Hollow Steam & Gas Club will be exhibited.

The Rice Lake Farm Show invites all area farmers and family members to see "what's new" in farming equipment for the spring planting season ahead, Jan. 21-22 at the Cedar Mall.
