Rice Lake Farm City

Banquet, March 18

March 14, 2013 | 0 comments

The Rice Lake Farm City Banquet will be held Monday, March 18, at the Moose Club in Rice Lake, beginning at 8:00 p.m. This event is hosted by the Rice Lake Holstein Club, Rice Lake Kiwanis, Rice Lake Lions Club, and the Rice Lake Rotary Club.

This year's program will feature a presentation by Rochelle Ripp, the 65th Alice in Dairyland. Ripp grew up near Lodi on her family's dairy and cash crop farm and was involved in 4-H.

The purpose of the Farm City Banquet is to bring farmers, civic organizations and businesses together to recognize the important contributions made by agriculture to the local community. The Farm City Banquet has been a tradition in Rice Lake for over 75 years.

The cost of the Farm City Banquet is $7 per person. This price covers the costs of a meal prepared by the Women of the Moose. Tickets are available from members of the Rice Lake Holstein Club, Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce Office and at the Barron County UW-Extension Office in Barron.
