Professional Dairy Producers Foundation announces grant availability

Nov. 10, 2011 | 0 comments

The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation (PDPF) is making grant funds available to non-profit organizations who share PDPF's passion and vision for education.

Grant dollars will be available to those organizations with unique ideas in the following two focus areas: 1) Building producer professionalism, or 2) Maintaining public trust.

In 2010, the Foundation awarded two grants - one to the Maryland Dairy Shrine for animal well-being education, and one to the North Carolina Association for Dairy Stabilization and Growth for producer education and networking. These grants were given in addition to support of youth and education programs of Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin (PDPW), which established the foundation in 2002.

Organizations may apply for grants of up to $5,000. The maximum amount given to any one organization will be $5,000. For grant criteria and an application package, visit www.dairyfoundation.org.

Grant applications are due Dec. 9.
