New map helps locate

Chicago farmers markets

Oct. 6, 2011 | 0 comments

Fall is a busy time at farmers markets and the city of Chicago wants to make sure you know how to find them.

The city has released an online map that can help.

Shoppers looking for fresh fruits and vegetables can still visit more than 20 farmers markets that are open through October. They include two popular downtown markets at the city's Daley Plaza and at Federal Plaza.

The city says that the markets remaining open through October include at least 14 that accept the Link card. That's the debit card for the federal food assistance program.
